Thyra Hudson was their closest neighbour since the late 1950’s until they moved into a small apartment 6 years ago. Since then she has been instrumental in overseeing and managing their care on a day to day basis until Don died two years ago at the age of 97 and Leonie passed one year ago also at the age of 97.
Pauline Russell has been a close friend for many years and their main church connection during their declining years.
Patrick Saunders was a co-worker of Don’s at Alcan Jamaica Ltd. and they shared a strong friendship and bond as Ham Radio enthusiasts.
Reid Robertson first met Don and Leonie when they joined the Mandeville Scottish Dance Group in the 1970’s, and maintained a friendship since then.
Over the past six years we have all become more involved in looking after their welfare and financial affairs and with their passing we have become the administrators of their estate.
